See How Two State Youth Awardees Are Sparking Conversations Around Environmental Conservation

In a world increasingly defined by climate anxiety and ecological urgency, two changemakers from Uttar Pradesh—Environmentalist Sundarm Tiwari and Social Worker Aman Kumar—are showing us how the power of words can plant seeds of change. Both State Youth Awardees, their grassroots efforts are not about grand speeches or high-level policy talks. Instead, they are inviting young hearts and hopeful minds to pick up a pen and write a letter—to nature, to the future, and to the Prime Minister of India.
This is the heartbeat of the “Letter to Nature” National Writing Contest 2025, launched on the occasion of World Environment Day, jointly organized by Nature Green Future Trust and Udaan Youth Club. With a deadline of June 3, 2025, this campaign is a soulful invitation for students, youth, writers, and everyday citizens to engage in reflective and solution-oriented conversations about the environment—through the simple yet powerful act of letter writing.
More Than a Contest—It’s a Civic Movement
Imagine a child apologizing on paper for cutting down trees or polluting rivers. Or a teenager suggesting a plan to make their school plastic-free. These aren’t just letters. They’re echoes of a new generation refusing to stay silent about the planet’s pain. The campaign encourages participants to write directly to the Prime Minister of India, turning personal reflections into national dialogue.
Participants are using the written word not only to express guilt or grief but to propose bold ideas—climate-smart education programs, clean energy initiatives, local conservation actions. These voices, filled with sincerity and youthful clarity, remind us all that environmental activism doesn’t always begin with protests—it can start with a paragraph.
Who Can Join? Everyone.
This isn’t an exclusive space for the elite. It’s open to school and college students, writers, artists, social workers, eco-club members, MYBharat, NCC and NSS cadets, and even those who’ve never written a letter before. If you care about the Earth, you’re welcome.
Write between 100–250 words in Hindi or English, and make sure it’s your own. No AI. Just real thoughts from a real human who wants to make a real difference.

Behind the Vision
This initiative is not just a contest. It’s the reflection of two visionaries—Sundarm Tiwari, who breathes environmental consciousness into every campaign, and Aman Kumar, who turns social engagement into a movement. Together, they are bridging creativity and civic responsibility, empowering thousands across India to think deeper, act smarter, and live lighter on the planet.
Their goal is simple but transformative: Let youth lead. Let letters speak. Let nature breathe.
